Ovulating from same ovary twice in a row?

I had my implant taken out a few months ago and I've started tracking my cycles ready to start ttc later this year.
I've been noting down when I ovulate and from which side as I get bad ovulation pains. I also always come out in a big spot on my chin, on the side I'm about to ovulate from.
First cycle off the implant, I ovulated from my left side, the following cycle I ovulated from my right side and I've just ovulated again on my right side. Is that normal? I always assumed that it would alternate?

It's pretty random which you ovulate from. Follicles mature in each and whichever is ready first pops out so can be the same one a few times in a row

It's random. The side you ovulated on previously has no effect or bearing on what will happen in your next cycle.
