Meganmae, I am very sorry for your loss. I too miscarried, but in mid-December at 9w2d. It was one of the roughest and most sad experiences of my entire life.
Bear in mind that post-MC your OPKs will be positive (and not indicate ovulation as both hCG and LH are glycoproteins and the OPKs cannot detect the difference between hCG and LH since they are chemically similar) until your hCG is <5 mIU/ml. In fact, after my MC, I used the OPKs, as well as HPTs, to get a gauge on where my hCG was. My HPTs became negative before my OPKs. Have you had your hCG levels monitored post-MC? Did you get negative HPTs and OPKs at home after the the MC? Once your hCG levels are low enough, you should ovulate and get your period.
I'm sorry if you already knew all of the info already! I hope that you and DH caught the egg this time!
As far as AF and when it will happen, well some women seem to have shorter cycles post-MC and other seem to have longer cycles! I just finished AF and I think if there are any changes, my cycle has become shorter. I miscarried (12/13/14) around the time AF would have been ending had I not been pregnant. And AF showed up on 1/11/15. TMI alert: It started out as a light flow of dark brown but proceeded to be VERY HEAVY in the following few days (lots of clots, soaking through a pad every couple hours, some cramping), but went back to light flow after a few days, lasting 6 days total. I only tell you my experience, not to scare you, but to give you an idea of what it MIGHT be like. Every woman is different. And hopefully you'll be pregnant and not even have to worry about it!
Good luck! Sticky baby dust to you and your DH! Keep us posted!
