Ovulation after miscarriage question

I had a miscarriage on September 12 at 4+2 weeks.

My OH and I decided not to wait to try again, although I haven't been taking OPKs or anything this cycle. Normally I have long cycles (they average 35 days), but I started to have ovulation symptoms really early (around cd13) this cycle. I should also add that I had blood tests the week after I started bleeding and my HCG levels did return to zero.

So my question is: Is it possible that the miscarriage caused me to ovulate a lot earlier than normal? Or should my cycle be about the same length it always is?

So sorry about your loss.

I've honestly heard it goes both ways. It could be the same, it could be earlier... and it could even be later. I lost a pregnancy back in June at 4.5 weeks. I figured since I was hardly pregnant to begin with, then I should be able to TTC right away. I was even hoping that maybe it would make ovulation come a little earlier (I tend to get positive OPKs around CD18). However, it was not to be. I started taking OPKs around CD10 and kept testing until I finally got a positive... on CD37. Ugh. I ended up getting my first post-miscarriage period about 2 weeks later. So it took me 7 weeks in all to get back on track. All after a pregnancy that didn't even last 5 weeks. Everyone is so different.

I had an D&C 7 weeks ago still haven't seen AF, normally im pretty regular so this is weird for my body to not have had a period yet and my doctor was a little concerened as well so im having my levels checked again today to see whats up. From what i read online i dont even think i could get pregnant yet because i havent had a period meaning my HCG levels havent gone down to 0 yet. this whole thing is very frustrating.

Sorry for your losses. I know that ovulation can be messed up after mc. It can take a little time for your body to get back to normal. I'm not sure what's happening with my ovulation as I have only just started using OPK. X
