Ovulation after miscarriage

Hi everyone,

Just after some thoughts on my situation please!

I got my bfp 31st October. When I went for my scan at 6w3d it showed an empty sac measuring five weeks or so. A few days later I started bleeding. The bleeding was at the heaviest on 24th, 25th November and I'm pretty sure I passed the sac on the 24th. Bleeding finished on 28th of November. My pregnancy test was very very faint a couple of days ago and is completely negative today.

The past three days I've been getting my usual ovulation pain, with last night and this morning more severe. Yesterday cervix was medium everything, and very slight ewcm.
This morning cervix is really obviously fertile - high, soft and definitely open and I had lots of ewcm this morning.

I've just done an opk which to my surprise is negative! My body is screaming its o time so really thought it'd be positive! Do you think I've missed my surge or maybe I'm not going to o so soon after miscarriage? I will do another opk later as well.

I'm 10 days of no bleeding since m/c.

Was today the first time you took an OPK, did you do one yesterday? If you only did one today and it was negative but you have all the other signs of ovulation, then it could just be that you missed your surge by only testing today, as OPKs test for the surge before ovulation. So by the time you actually ovulate the surge is over and OPKs show negative, so if you're ovulating today it would've likely shown positive yesterday or even the day before.

I think you start counting from the day you pass the sac. Sorry So that should make you about CD14. Sounds about right for O if your cycles are typical but it could be that you just missed the surge but not ovulation. Since your cervix still feels fertile you likely are. BD! What's the harm? Sorry that you are going through this, it's not easy.

Sounds like you might have missed the surge of you have every other symptom of o but a OPK +

After I mc'd it took 3 cycles before I ovulated, I was using OPKs pretty much daily that whole time!

It can take a while for your body to get back to normal after a mc but the fact you were pretty early on might mean you bounce back. Don't be disheartened if you don't o this cycle, there's always next month

I got my bfp Oct 18. Started bleeding Nov 10, passed everything Nov 16. If I count from the time I passed contents of womb I ovulated as I usually do, around day 11, I had SO much EWCM.Like you said, my body was SCREAMING I was ovulating. We BDed like crazy for 4 days surrounding when i think I ovulated. Got BFP number 2 Monday evening at 11 dpo. HTH and hope you did lots of BDing yesterday.

ETA: I did not use OPKs, but just listened to my body. EWCM is really a good indicator as I have used OPKs in the past and my surges coincide with EWCM, so I just stopped spending the money.
