Hey ladies, I have a quick question... Is it possible to ovulate on CD9 or 10? My temperature spiked and then it went back to normal the next day. This is my first time keeping track of my temps so im just cuirous.

If it went back to normal you didn't ovulate. In order to confirm ovulation it has to spike and stay up. My charts are in my sig if you'd like some examples. xx

^^^WSS.

You could look at my chart as well if you'd like, it's in my siggie. It was probably a fluke. To answer your question though, it is possible to O on CD9-10, everyone is different.

It's possible to OV that early, but your temps need to stay up for at least three days to confirm OV.

It is my first month of charting, and I too can say that my temps were all over the place for the first several days.... I finally noticed a steep decrease on cd 19... plus I think you need a few months of charting to notice a pattern.

Good luck!

They have to stay up?? Mine went up from like 96.7 to 97.4 and then back to like 97.1 and 96.7. I dont know what to think. Im just a little lost with the BBT stuff lol

It doesn't sound like you OV'd by the sound of your numbers. Once you chart for a couple of cycles it gets much easier and you begin to know what to look for. It's kind of like the first time I used OPK's- I kept thinking "is this it? Or is this a positive?" But once I had an actual positive in my hands, I knew what to look for from that point on. Similarly, once you OV and have that thermal shift and see it with your own eyes on a graph, it's usually pretty straight forward from that point on.

Good luck dear! :flower:

Yep they have to stay up. Your chart needs to be biphasic. In the beginning starting with CD1, it stays down because of estrogen, then the day after you ovulate it goes up and will stay up due to the progesterone. Then when AF comes or right before it will go back down, due to estrogen coming back. Estrogen is the cool temp, progesterone is the warm temp. If your temperature stays elevated for 18+ days you are most likely pregnant. If your temps stayed elevated then you would have ovulated, but they went right back down. I hope that explained it :) GL xx

Hi guys, my question is to do with ovulating aswell..

I had AF on 09/05/11 and lasted 5 days, now on the calculator that predicts I ovulated on the 23rd may I did have alot of mucus around then and sex drive increased and had twinges on my ovary, the calculator also predicted my next period date to be the 6th june. HOWEVER. Every month I always have AF on 9th or 10th never any other date. The calculator says I am 11 DPO which means I can test soon but I wasnt sure if I should wait until maybe 10th or just go ahead with an early test as I have ordered a 4 days before period test. I just dont want to test when it comes and it becomes neg as I have alot of parties to go to which will involve alcohol.

So basically I dont know if I should be testing four days before the 10th or 4 days before the 6th. The 6th seems way to early for me to take my period. Also I have been feeling very tired and sick and have went right off everything. Seem to be needing the loo alot and got some twinging in my tummy and I know they can be AF signs also but I am excited to test I just dont know when..

Sorry about the ramble its very confusing..
