Ovulation & Miscarriage advice plzzz

Hi All,

Ok well i had a miscarriage on the 11th of march and had un protected sex 5-7 days after it started, I have done a pregnancy test today and it was positive and said 1-2 weeks.

Do you think I could actually be pregnant or it is the hormone from the previous pregnancy still showing??

Im very confused and anxious as we wanted to wait a couple of months to heal properly as afraid of a 2nd miscarriage. Also OH did not respond very well to the news I was pregnant again so soon

Just would like to know if I was fertile at the point I had unprotected sex also just as some extra infomation the miscarriage was quite long and painful ( lot of very heavy bleeding and had to be admitted to hospital)

was bleeding as a med - heavy period only around 5 days ago just to give you more info (altho not sure if it was actually a period as have been bleeding on an off since miscarriage started)

Hiya, welcome to bnb. Sorry it's under these circumstances tho

I think it will depend on how much of the pregnancy hormone you had in your system. How far gone were you when it happened hunni?

It is also possible you might have ovulated early & got pregnant again.
If your hormone levels start to rise again then this could be the case.

What a confusing time for you, perhaps your doctor can take some blood tests to check what's going on in there?

Have no real answers, but know that aftera miscarriage can take 6 weeks to get a bfn

Am not entirely sure as had not had my dating scan but approx around 10 weeks? so scared that if i am will miscarry again because it is too soon

Also had an abortion but tried a month later and got preg ( that was the miscarried pregnancy) tried again because i felt i had made wrong decision I know that is no excuse for abortion. but 3 pregnancys in 6 months cant be gd for me

Sweets, I would either:

1. Hang on a week, and re-test on the one that says how far along you are, and see if it's changed to 2-3 weeks.
2. Go to the doctors, they may take a blood test, and then re-test in a few days to see if the level of pregnancy hormone in your blood has increased.

Sorry for your loss. I'm afraid I can't help. It took me 3 weeks to get a BFN and I had my first AF after 28 days. Why not speak to your doctor?

Hope all goes ok with blood test, they say u r most fertile after a mc so u jus never kno but also they say that a pg test can show up positive for few wks until the hormones go dwn so its all very confusin, hope u get it all sorte dso u guys can slowly get on and sorted

Sorry about your loss but it took 3 months to get out of my system and I was 3 months gone how long where you gone so I can advise you more, I was the same as you I was testing every week thinking that I have conceived again but your prob better off asking you doc for a blood test 48 hours apart sorry again about your loss I know exactly how you feel as I lost 3 babies.

I had exactly the same as you. MC on March 10th and last weds I did a pg test and it showed pregnant 1-2 weeks. I had also been trying in between when the bleeding had stopped (its been on and off since mc).

I then did 2 more tests and the pg lines were getting fainter - I am off to buy another digital one today to confirm not pregnant as I think first af has started today.

Hi Dani sorry your going through this but when I miscarraige it too 3 months for my hcg to get to zero but with clearblue digital too about 1 half months and was going out of my head hope your ok and know exaclty how you feel I have 3 previous miscarraiges
