Ovulation pain like period cramps?

Hi ladies,

I've never had this before, so just wondering what other ladies experience? My usual ovulation pains when I get them are mild twinging in my ovaries, but for the past hour or two I've had period like cramping and a pulling sensation that goes from my uterus right down through my vagina. Has anyone experienced this type of ovulation pain before? I've had a long powerful surge this cycle, so I'm wondering if it's linked to that. Ovulation is due today or tomorrow, so it's definitely not AF


Edit: it's mostly gone away now and only lasted an hour or two at the most. Now just a full heavy mildly pulling sensation.

Mine sometimes feel like pinching pains, other times like the pulling sensation you've described. If you've had a long surge, it could be that your body was having a hard time releasing an egg, though I've found that my opks stayed positive longer during cycles I conceived. Good luck!
