ovulation pain?

This is my first cycle off the pill (been on the pill for 9 years) and am on cd35. On tuesday I had a strange pain in my side. It was on my right side exactly were my ovary should be.

It was a more if a sharp pain that came and went and felt a bit sore sore. It was very noticeable but went away after a few hours.

Could it have been ovulation pain? (I haven't been charting so have no idea)

If it was, does this mean AF should arrive a week on tuesday?

its really hard to tell because you just off the pill. it really could be anything.

maybe wait for your af to show then you can tell. have you had a period yet?

I get pain in my side when i ovulate and its very sore. Everyone is different i know but my pain starts a few days before (not sore so much then but maybe a dull ache) and then on ovulation day its very painful the whole day. I found this month (first time iv tried it to be honest) that the day after, when the pain goes, that the opk was positive. So we got to it!! Fingers crossed it worked! Xx

I had a withdrawal bleed but no proper period.....

Well I guess I might have to wait and see.

Does AF usually come around two weeks after ovulation?

Did you happen to notice whether your cervical mucus was more plentiful or "egg white"-ish around the time of the cramps? That would make it more likely to be an ovulation cramp.

I get a cramp at ovulation, similar to how you've described it, accompanied by EWCM.

As for the time between ovulation and your period, the generalization is "14 days." But it really varies by person. Mine is shorter than 14 days, and some women have longer ones. That's something you can learn for yourself by tracking your cycle, because what's right for some isn't right for all.
