Hey ladies. I need a bit of thought on this. Anyone care to chime in?
Details: I had a left side salpingectomy (tube removal) for an ectopic after my last round of IVF. The surgery was on Apr 30, and I actually ovulated on my own on June 28 with O pains on the left side. Miraculously, I'm O'ing again now (today or tomorrow I would guess from all my symptoms), but again, I'm only getting O pains on the left side!
Does anyone know if salpingectomy scars can just make the removed side hurt at O every month even if it's actually the other side O'ing? Or do ya'll think I'm actually only O'ing on the left side again. (Which would be a real bummer!)
Other , probably not so important details: Last month was only the third time I'd O'd on my own in two years, and this cycle is the first time I've had two O's in a row with normal spacing without medical help. DH and I would really love to be able to get pregnant on our own again if my body is actually getting back to normal! Hopefully his is system is getting better as well.
When we first started TTC in 2011, I O'd every month and he had a great count and fine motility. I started on supplements our 3rd cycle trying to conceive and the supplements changed my hormones enough that my dormant PCOS went into high gear. DH had 100mil sperm count when we started TTC, but it dropped to a low count with low motility with all the stress of fertility treatments. So as of my last IVF cycle, I wasn't O'ing at all, and DH was a mess. I really am hoping things have changed!
