Ovulation Question

Hey all, kind of new to this side of the board...but anyway....I always assumed that sore breasts meant that I already ovulated. Well my husband and I had sex a few days after the sore breasts started happening but that night I felt a sharp pain in my side followed by very slight pms cramps. Mind you i wasn't due for my period for another week, but that last time i felt something like that I was told that it was ovulation pain, and now I'm reading that sore breasts can ALSO be a sign of impending ovulation. My question is, is it possible to ovulate only a week before your period? I thought it was usually in the middle of the cycle?

It's possible to ovulate at any point as cycles can become irregular for many reasons. Your cramping also could have been something besides ovulation. Keep on eye on your period, if it comes in a week then you ovulated when you originally thought. If it comes in 2 weeks, then you will know it was when you had the cramping.
