Own Business Advice

I am wanting to start my own business in the baby industry. Start off small and probably online and see where it goes but i need advice on how to start.

Me and my friend looked into fancy dress as she thinks there is a market for it but i think there is a bigger market for baby.

Any advice would be great xx

We started out about a year ago, we sell baby clothes.....it was tough, it still is, its a funny time. What type of baby stuff? Suppliers would be your starting point, I might be able to help!

yes suppliers is a good start.

Also what im doing is a good thing.

write down your aims, what you want to do, where you want it to be over xx years, how you can achieve this.

start low, dont aim to high.

remember it is a hard time now to start business, with the reccesion.

A good idea, is go online and search for business loans.

There are a few places that fund you and grant you to start if your on a low income and/or unemployed.
Give you a head start.

If you plan to take out a loan or get financing, you will need a detailed business plan. Who is your target audience, what are they looking for, how will you let them know about your product, how are you better than their alternatives--that kind of thing.

If you plan on getting any bigger than a small online business, I would really recommend taking a few business courses to make sure you know what you're getting into.

Edit: even if you're not getting financing, you should still put together a business plan. It will really help as you try to build your business.
