pain 6 weeks after section?

I am almost 6 weeks post semi-elective section. This week, for the first time, I took my son out in his pram walking a fair bit. Since then I have been really sore and getting in and out of bed feels like I had the section last week. Is it just because I have done a bit too much too fast? Wound is slightly sore but clean and no signs of infection so think it may be muscular pain.

Any experience?

Hiya i was really sore for a while after my section, had a rough recovery and had infections for 3months after. at almost 5months post section my scar still gets sore sometimes and sometimes doing certain things makes it tender, it takes time. x

Hi, first of all just wanted to say congratulations!! I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were, I remember you from when you had your precious little girl

I was sore for a while but didn't get to push the pram till 3 months after my section because Sophie was in NICU till then. Even then it was quite sore at times, pushing it up onto the pavements etc. I still get the odd twinge now and again and Sophie's 2.5. It's nothing major any more but sometimes just a little twinge if I stretch too much or lift something really heavy. Just maybe try to take it easy for a little while longer, not too much strenuous stuff.

if it is more walking/pushing than you would usually do it could be strain.from over doing it. take some paracetamol and rest up a bit. as light and free moving as a pram can be it will still be a workout for your muscles while recovering

I'm 3 months after my c-sect and still have pain, especially when I do a bit too much. Listen to your body!! It's telling you to still take it easy.

Hi Katy! Yeah, Theo is doing great, it has been a rollercoaster time since Ellie til now. I think Sophie looks phenomenal, you'd never know she's been so early!

I was in the bath tonight and felt this weird pain on one side of my scar felt like someone stuck a needle in my scar and dragged it accross my scar. i get weird pains like that now and then.
