Hi, I had a EMCS on 15th Jan to deliver my lovely son. I had staples as a form of stitching me up. I was also told that they needed to do some 'repair' work so sewing me back up would take a little longer than normal.
At around day 7ish I had a infection my wound where it was leaking on right side. had antibiotics and cleared up after dressing it and salt baths recommended by my dr and nurse.
I kept saying to the nurse at my pill reviews that I keep having pain every so often that it stops me in my tracks and my husband is needed to help me into bed etc. she said that this is normal part of healing after a section.
HOWEVER I am still getting bouts of pain, mostly at night when I try to get up out of bed to go to the toilet or to take care of my son. I have found it also flares up more when I am on my period.
Now I have done some research on the net and it could be nothing but it could be endo or a hernia even though there isnt a lump there. I really dont want surgery again anytime soon. the only operation I had was to have my son and I dont like the idea of having to be put to sleep, freaks me out so much. After hearing stories from friends who have friends that have had adominal pain like mine have been given news that needs surgical attention. so after sweepin it under the carpet I have bit the bullet and made an appt at gp. Has anyone been through this or similar?. I just hope its nothing and part of healing process. I really dont want to have to go into hospital again especially since I lost my mum and nearly lost my son.
