Hear is the deal. I’m 15 weeks now. But at my 13 week midwife appt., she was unable to find the heartbeat by doppler:hissy: She said while normally they can, it is possible for baby to hide. I opted to not do an ultrasound right then, but to make my next appt. in a month and we would try again at that point. She said if something did happen to the baby, I’d probably start to miscarry before that anyway. Since then, I’ve been fine, and think I may have even felt the flutter of her move once. :happydance: But since yesterday, my whole midsection feels like I have been run over by a mack truck. My lower back is in one big spasm, and I just feel like I have been punched repeatedly in the gut or my organs have been torn apart. I can’t say I feel crampy, because if I don’t move I don’t feel anything. But as soon as I move a muscle I just want to double over. I did do a yoga class on Sat. and this started on Sunday. So I’m wondering if I a) overdid yoga, b) getting the flu???, c) starting to miscarry (even though I have had no spotting once so ever)??? Any thoughts anyone? I probably should have just had that dumb ultrasound so I wouldn't worry so much about this! Thanks.

I would ring your doctor/midwife & try & arrange an earlier scan It wont do you or the baby any good sitting worrying...I really hope all is well & dont worry about not hearing the HB as it is common not to pick it up with doppler early on...Good luck hun let me know how you get on :hugs:

:hi: First of all welcome to the forum.

It sounds like your symptoms could be due to any number of things, the fact that you haven't had any bleeding is a good sign though.

I went in at 13 weeks and it took a good 15 minutes for them to find the heartbeat, and when they did the baby moved so we only heard it for a few seconds.

Good luck with your pregnancy :hugs:

I would try to schedule the ultrasound sooner, it will give you peice of mind.

I know sometimes the muscles of my stomach feel like I have worked out really hard. I think it is just the additional weight, and stretching. I also get sore after yoga sometimes.

Thank you all...I feel a bit better. My midwife only tried for maybe 2-3 minutes. So that may be part of it. I'm hoping these are just stretching pains, but I didn't feel this bad until I was 9 months pregnant before.

Hello, when I went to the midwife for my 12 week checkup she announced she couldn´t find the heartbeat (after about 5 mins searching) and gave up. My u/s was a whole week after, so I stressed for a week until I had it and all was normal.
I think the pains are prob stretching. Try not to worry, (easier said than done I know from experience!) :hugs: :hugs:
