Pain but no contractions?

I am being induced today. At 9:45am they put in cervadil to help me dilate as I was only 1cm when I was checked this morning. 12 hours later I am almost 3cm. I havent had any strong contractions according to the monitor, although I have felt some tightening when walking around or on the birthing ball. The 2nd pelvic exam was SOOOOO PAINFUL and ever since then I have had lots of period like cramping even though they said im not really contracting. Anyone experience this? Could it just be maybe my cervix is finally responding? All I know is this sucks

Cervadil can give you cramps. I had 2 doses of that first (though it did nothing for me). I had only 2 hours of pain and I thought it was just cramping (felt like AF cramps) and they never hooked me back up as the doctor said they could wait until I was in active labor and no one thought I was, but I delivered at the end of the 2 hours.
