Hi everyone. I have a history of ovarian cysts. My last ultrasound, before I got pregnant was clear, with no cysts. Now, I am 11 +1 and I am getting a really bad pain in my left ovary like a pain I had when I had a corpus luteum cyst. Since they are normally ovulation-based, is it possible that this is a cyst or is it something else?? It wasn't hurting that much until tonight where it hurts really bad now and I dont know what to do. I'm not bleeding, but my discharge has increased. I see my doctor next Monday. Should I just wait or what am I supposed to do?? The pain is also coexistent with lower back pain and I am not sure if they are together or are seperate pains. I know that the ovarian pain is causing pain down the nerve in my left leg, though. Please help, somebody I am very confused and nervous.

I have a cyst hun so know what the pain can feel like.

Can you call your GP or MW just to ask?

My only guess is it could be that your corpus luteum from ceonception (as you say we get them every month) is just closing away now that placenta is starting to take over? It may have not been noticable on your scan?

It could also be a bit of round ligament pain which is very normal and can pass like a band through your back?

From babycentre website:

The round ligaments surround your uterus in your pelvis. As your uterus grows during pregnancy, the ligaments stretch and thicken to accommodate and support it. These changes can occasionally cause pain on one or both sides of your abdomen.

You may feel the pain starting from deep inside your groin, moving upward and outward on either side to the top of your hips. The pain is internal, but if you were to trace it on your skin, it would follow the bikini line on a very high-cut bathing suit.
