Last night i had the worse wave of nausea, i was lying in bed and waves kept coming over me, i started to feel a bit faint and then suddenly it just went away? This whole time i was badly needing to pee and just couldnt get up.

When i got up to go pee an extremely painful pain hit me on my left side from about my ribs to my pelvic bone and at the back too. only on my left side.
three of the electric like pains shot thru me and then it went away. all this lasted about 5 to 7 min. i cant explain how intense it was. I went to pee and went back to bed.

During the middle of the night i needed to pee again and woke up with the same pain but slightly less intense and this time only one shock wave. It then went away and i went back to sleep. This morning i woke with no pain.

Has anyone had this? Could it be a UTI because both times i needed to pee.

What is weird is that the pain was SO INTENSE but its didnt carry on for long and isnt accompanied by cramps or bleeding ( G-D forbid).
I didnt know what to do so i called my doctor and am waiting for her to call me back. I am not freaking out coz i am not in pain now and it didnt last that long but its def not normal to have such intense pain. I also did a routine urine test yesterday at the clinic so hopefully if there is anything there it will show up.

A similar thing happened to me the other nite, i had really intense pain but was on my right side pain so bad tht i cudnt move or nethink, then when i did get to the bathroom i was really sick, the pain continued and i was sick again then it started to ease of a bit but was still hurting me abit and making me feel really uncomfortable so in the end my mom rung the hospital and they said to go in, they checked me and baby and everything was completely fine, i was just dehydrated from being sick. the pain didnt completely go til the nxt morn and havnt had ne probs since! so soz i cnt help with wot it actually was as the docs didnt kno either but jus to let you tht i had a similar thing an everything is fine now, so try not to worry too much! xxx

Do either of you have a history of kidney stones? I have pass several and what you are describing sounds simular. Nausea, sever pain in your back. You might call your midwives and ask about that.

I have had that hun, do you need to sort of stop in mid-stream and try your best to ease it out a little at a time as it is so painful? Infact I had it not that long ago, and I am not pregnant. If it worries you, always contact your MW or GP! x
