painful lump below nipple/aorola?:(:(

since last night my boobs been in agony, i had a feel this morning and have swelling just under my nipple near one of the ducts im worried its something bad i have major health anxcity so im breaking down right now its swollen , red and painful anyone know what this could be?x

Could it be a blocked duct?
I have awful health anxiety too but I'm sure it's nothing serious. I recently went to the doctor for breast pain and he assured me any sinister lumps won't hurt.

i do think it could be a block duct its just so painful i can hardly touch it going to ring the nurse in the morning xx

If you are worried about cancer, this is not a typical presentation. Tumours can sometimes be painful, but they don't appear overnight like that. It totally sounds like a blocked duct, but obviously go get it checked out.
In the meantime, hot compresses can give a lot of relief.
If you are breast feeding, try to get baby to nurse lots on that side - it can sometimes help.
