I had an emergency section due to loss of foetal heartbeat ten weeks ago. I was fully dilated and had been pushing for about an hour. Things were progressing well and the midwife could see the baby's hair but then they realised his head was at the wrong angle and he was stuck. They tried to turn him manually but he wouldnt cooperate and I was originally going to theatre for forceps when he went into distress.

I started cerazette a few weeks ago and we have started to resume our sex life but it really hurts!! The pain seems to mostly be around the entrance to my vagina and high up where I imagine my cervix to be. We have been using lube but its stillsore.

Anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to improve things would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, hope you're ok :flower:

I had something similar but mine was more because I was so tight (tmi sorry!!), is it that kind of feeling?

I felt like it was the first time I was ever having sex again! Think that's because we waited so long to do it after baby.

Xx

Yes I had this too! I was so shocked at how painful it was. I could understand it if I'd had a vaginal delivery but wasn't expecting it after a c section.

I also thought it was worse than my first time. It does get easier though x

Thanks ladies. Glad to know its not just me. It feels exactly like my first time again and dhsays it feels really tight. Glad to know it gets better!!!

I had it too. My doctor said its normal and hormones when BFing can make it worse. I know its hard to keep going through it, but the more we had sex the less pain I had until it finally went away. Keep using lots of lube as well.

There are creams the doctor can give you, but I decided not to use them because I don't like using anything while BFing. But my Dr said they are safe to use while BFing.

It's completely normal, my OB said it's because it's scar tissue and that it can take up to 8 months + to return to "normal," since scar tissue isn't as, um, stretchy I think he said. (haha.)

edit: oops, sorry, I didn't realize this was c-section forum! I assume it's still a bit similar though as you were completely dilated!

My OB said the secret is to use olive oil for the lubricant. She said lubricants like KY Jelly are just good for the beginning and don't last. Gunna try this tomorrow..... ;)
