pains in the stomach

hi just wanted some advice if anyone has experienced the same im seven weeks pregnant and past couple of days have been having cramp like pains in my lower stomach.is this normal as im really worried. have gp appointment fri.

Hi im 9 weeks pregnant and from day 1 i have been getting cramps and other mild pains. I think it is normal in first trimester as everything begins to stretch to make room for baby so dont worry hun it is pretty normal unless it is severe pain.

I'm 7 weeks and 1 day, and i had pains like that this morning!. and went to hospital cos i was panaking, and they told me that my wombs a wierd shape and the babys in my back rather than the front, and the pains are my body adjusting and moving the baby and my womb. Maybe its that. But i'd wait till your gp appointment, if they were more worried, they'd have asked you to come in earlier!

I think it is completely normal, but when I got these I worried too and posted. Everyone said it's just your womb expanding for you little bean and the Doctor confirmed it. For me I was having period like pains that come now and again still but it's good that you made an appointment because that will reassure you alot more.

when did you start with the pains? how low down where they? I've had aching pains just above pubic bone since about cd15 but my chart says i havn't ovulated

there very normal, with my 1st i had pains throughtout the 1st trimester and they dont get any better in the 3rd either!! I'm getting pains really low down this time, really can;'t wait 4 2nd trimester!

I was about 7 weeks when I started having period type pains. i got a little nervous unitl I started remembering back to my last 3 pregnancies. I did some reading on fetal development sites and it is probably just your uterus expanding . I am 10 - 1/2 wks now I only get pain if I stretch the wrong way. The pains should subside in a few weeks or so.

i have pain in my stomach too since monday so it's 3 days now. I knew it's not normal pain so i called the doctor. I think if you are not sure what it is, maybe it's worth calling the doctor and explain what the pain is like, at least it will relieve you worries.
In my case, there's not mush to worry but i was told to rest more and stray at home. It might be different in your case though. Hope everything goes well

No don't worry. It's completely normal. It's just your uterus stretching and getting itself prepared for keeping your baby.

The only time to get concerned is if the pain is severe and accompanied with bleeding.

I get them at 9 weeks. They're not as noticable anymore though. They're very similar to menstrual cramps and then I also get a slight pulling feeling right on my pubic bone.

You'll notice alot of annoying little aches and cramps coming your way

im getting cramp type pains in my lower stomach and stabbing pains at the top of my stomach athough im only about 4 - 5 weeks ... is that a bit early or does this happen sometimes?

I had some mild cramping the first few weeks of my pregnancy (weeks 4-6 or so). My doctor told me that if the cramping became worse or if it was accompanied by any bleeding to call immediately. I guess it would depend on how severe your cramping is, it never hurts to call your Dr. just to confirm.
