At what point did you stop worrying and start truly enjoying your pregnancy? I am only 4 weeks and fear i have a LONG way to go....

I think for me, when I see that heatbeat I will be able to enjoy a little...but not truly until after 12 weeks.

I'm still worrying but after 3 2d scans, a 3d scan I'm starting to ease. Can I just reccomend getting an AngelSounds Doppler from Amazon, they're only £20 and you can hear the heartbeat 9 weeks plus, it is a godsend to put your mind at rest.

Thanks charlee! I always wondered why people bought the doplers, but now I totally understand! Do you ever NOT hear the baby b/c of positioning or something and make emergency calls to the dr?

If everything goes okay with my u/s in a few days, I wanted to get an affordable doppler and I looked up the one you mentioned on Amazon and couldn't find it...would you mind posting a link? :)

I'm almost 23 weeks and I still worry every day about my baby.

It does ease up as each milestone passes but I don't think it'll ever fully go away

I agree Emby, I am 23 weeks and still feel anxious about things continuing well. I hoped that making it past the 20 weeks scan would be a good hurdle, and it was for a few days but now I am paranoid about pre term labor and stuff! I am not sure it will ever be easy to relax until he is here, healthy in my arms - and then I get to worry about a whole new bunch of things! ha ha

The at home dopplers are great. I couldn't hear my baby until about 12 weeks, and I did have a few times early on when I couldn't find the heartbeat first try. It was often low down in my pelvis not up in the swollen belly I thought it should be. At the beginning it can take a while to find it, and distinguish it from your own heartbeat. However, I would not have survived without it in those early weeks. I think mine cost about $50 but it was well worth the investment. Now I am lending it to a friend who is 10 weeks and having some spotting. She needs the reassurance more than me now our little guy is kicking so much.

Wishing you all the very best xx

I'm worried too, but I'm just trying some positive visualization. Like, I KNOW in 9 months I'm going to have a heathy, happy baby in my arms. I KNOW in 17 weeks I'm going to have a ultrasound to see if its a boy or girl. This is helping me so much. I'm not stressing out over every little thing, and I'm reading as many pregnancy books as I can to know what's truly normal and what isn't. I haven't even made it through my first AF yet

Also, I made an appt with an old family doctor who will basically give me ultrasounds as I wish :) I'm excited. I'm also getting bloods done next week so that will help too.
