Was using Tesco own brand but after lots of leaks we moved to pampers active fit in the day and the dry ones at night.
She smells all 'chemically'- like a dodgy poo if I am honest. Especially straight after having a wee. Is this something anyone else has noticed? I hoped a new batch might solve the problem but the are all like that. Am getting upset as my baby doesn't smell right any more

We have been using different brands (family gave us some packs) & with pampers at first I thought he had done a wee/poo then I realised that smell was actually the nappy.

Didn't notice it when DD used them.

No idea why?? We have been using aldi nappies they are actually very good & don't smell funny!

i hate the smell of Pampers. I always use Tesco own or Asda little angels x

Using cloth and disposables, disposables (any brand I have used) have a slight smell to them, I've never found it "stinky" but definitely something there, especially right after a wee.

Just a tip for the ladies using tescos ones,Tesco own brand nappies are identical to the ones from aldi! Apart from the deco on the front, And aldis are half the price. At least the size 1+2 are anyway, not sure about the bigger ones.

I find all nappies smell but the tesco ones left red welts round my lg's legs :(

I find active fit nappies smell even more for some reason. We used pampers new baby up til both daughters outgrew size 3 then switched to little angels (purely to save money). I do think all nappies to have a slight chemically smell though xx

I find the Aldi ones are a bit narrower on the bum. They are still good, and I liked them the few times I used them, but they dont seem to cover my LOs bum cheeks completely! (maybe she has a big bottom, haha!)

Yes, I have always found that Pampers have a weird smell to them! I often think she has a dirty diaper but it is just the diaper itself! We use Pampers at night only now, and Huggies during the day. We have found Pampers more absorbent at night but Huggies seem to prevent poo explosions more during the day. :haha: Huggies don't have a weird smell to me though.

Yes, I notice the Pampers smell when I've been using the cloths. It makes me think he's pooed too.

This was exactly my experience with Pampers. I tell people all the time that I just can't stand them because they have this awful chemical smell, and people don't seem to know what I'm talking about. It's really gross. I could smell it just pouring out of my daughter all the time, even through her clothes, not just during nappy changes. She didn't smell right. We switched to Asda Little Angels and they are great (plus like a third of the price!). We've used them for 2 years now and I've never had that smell or any issues with them.

I thought I was crazy. My daughter would smell like pee - even after a bath and I couldn't figure out what the issue was until I switched her from Pampers to Huggies and viola!!!! no more pee smell.
I find Pampers to be more absorbent than Huggies but I hated that smell so I have switched.

Yeah pampers stink this is a bit embarrassing but when I was pregnant the second time I used to sniff my son's clean nappies beforw I changed him I was addicted to it
