Has anyone heard about this? Trying to find more info but hard to tell what's real and what's just rumors :S
I was sent the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/RECALL-PAMPERS-DRY-MAX-DIAPERS/124714717540863
"Pampers Swaddler and Cruisers with Dry max have been causing Chemical burns, Infections, and SEVERE diaper rash Procter and Gamble been denying this claim and they have no scientific proof of this! This is wrong! Please P&G do whats right and recall!"

Apparently P&G are now taking to court parents who complained  are they for real??

Anyway, more reasons to be using cloth!!

Cheeky beggars - even trying to tell the parents the 'true' causes of nappy rash

pampers are gross. every one i know raves about how good they are but when wet i think they feel and smell worse then other disposables.

Actually, Pampers is being sued in several places for refusing to recall Dry Max. At this point, it is impossible to say if there is any substance to the claims of the parents.

Some parents are saying the diapers caused chemical burns.

Pampers are saying that isn't true and the fuss is being caused mostly by people that simply don't like Dry Max and want the old diapers back, by supporters of other brands, and by CD users.

I have to use sposies at daycare. This week the store was out of Huggies (which I normally buy) so decided to try out Pampers. We'll see how it goes. My friend uses and LOVES the Dry Max pampers on her girl. She hasn't had any problem with them.

Here in Uk there as been several complaints about there new simply range causing real bad rash

Oh the one in the orange pack?

I use sposies at night and the ones in the orange pack gave her awful bum rash :(

I use disposables at night, and we got a pack of the pampers with dry max. Miss M hasn't noticed a difference. I don't think I'd spend extra on them for this though - she wasn't leaking out before. The only thing that is good about them is that they are thinner than other diapers. But I am used to a big cloth bum anyhow during the day!!!

:)

I say it's true, I've seen posts from moms on other forums asking about these rashes their kids are getting...from those diapers.

Here is this where it's being investigated

Here is a blog with pics...beware they are graphic

We are using sposies right now, he's so close to potty training he's barely using any diapers so it's pointless with cloth they would have to sit too long between washes to get a small load but I won't buy these, I buy him Huggies

One of my friend's DD got chemical burns from Pampers Dry Max diapers too. Could be that some babies are just sensitive to whatever is in the Dry Max dipes  Emma gets chemical burns from pretty much all sposies so we'll definitively be avoiding those ones. Poor babies!

That picture looks awful - poor little baby! I can't imagine how much pain that must cause, especially when the ammonia from pee hits it! We have fully gone over to cloth including nights now which is great - no rashes whatsoever anymore! :happydance:

I've been reading all about this whole ordeal. I read their page today and was DISGUSTED. Bullshit. All of it!

yeah i heard that too...and i have kinda experienced it, mu mum has my Niece 2 times a week and uses the simply wipes and i used on on my hands one and it stung !!! imagine on a bum ?!?!

Just read https://gomestic.com/family/what-is-a-disposable-diaper-made-of-anyway/#comments makes u wonder how disposables in general are allowed to be on the market with that much junk in them :S

I found this in an article on the BBC news site from 2001 it's talking about sodium polyacrylate
It's crystalline, but turns into a gel on contact with water, or in this case urine. It was linked to toxic shock in tampons, and was removed from them in 1985.
Shocking how they can take it out of a product made specifically for adults yet our children can still use products containg it

Wow, that poor baby :(

I have some pampers swaddlers, am I okay using them? We bought one pack Pampers and one pack of Huggies (the 'natural' ones...which I've heard some not very good reviews for :dohh:)... I was telling DH tonight that I'd like to put LO straight into cloth, instead of 'sposies like we were planning (got some cloth to TRY before we completely commit to it)....this makes me want to even more!

I'm just worried about keeping up with the washing as we will be using communal washers which aren't close enough to our new apartment for me to get to frequently...

xx
