So I just got in from work and flopped onto my bed while I read a book...after about half an hour I realised I was laying flat on my stomach. I'm 19 weeks and now having a panic that I've harmed the baby? I never lay on my stomach god knows why I did it today!

Chances are pretty good that you didn't flatten your uterus :haha: Seriously though, I go to a chiropractor and am on my stomach for a little while for adjustments. There's no harm in it.

Thank you! I've just sat here driving myself crazy googling it!

Laying on your stomach won't hurt the baby, they're cushioned and comfy in their little bubble. It does hurt the mom though, or at least feels very uncomfortable, like laying on a honeydew melon at this point, although in my previous pregnancy I would find myself sleeping on my tummy all the way to term. I carried my son way back and had posterior labor. With him I never really looked pregnant, just fat all around. This time my tummy is sticking way out and look about 7 months already. Don't panic.

I sleep on my tummy at night ;) I am poorly at the moment and find it difficult to get comfortable on my side. It does feel a bit strange and little dude pokes me quite a bit but it's not harmful :flower:

Ahh thanks that makes me feel better, I can relax now! I think I just constantly find new things to worry about!

Don't worry! My doctor said it was fine to sleep on your stomach, as long as, it was comfortable. Baby is well protected in there :)

I can't lay on my stomach because it makes me feel sick, but it's not bad for baby - they're just fine :) Your body will tell you if it gets uncomfortable when you're on your stomach.

I'm 20 weeks and still roll on my stomach out of habit. Baby is fine. Mine likes to give me a few kicks of as a sort of reminder, "hey momma! I'm still in here! Get off me woman!" Lol

Haha! Funnily enough I felt the most kicks after I got up!
