This isn't a post for the faint-hearted and it's quite long - sorry. I had my second IUI almost 3 weeks ago. I was on Gonal F, then had an HCG trigger and then on Cyclogest progesterone pessaries until yesterday. I started to spot lightly on Friday, a bit heavier with brown bleeding / discharge on Sat then got red AF on Sunday afternoon. I had a period of crippling pain in my tummy last night for about 30 mins. Then last night and this morning I passed what can only be described as white / pink membrane which looks like chicken skin. The second piece this morning was at least 2 inches by 2 inches - last night's seemed even bigger. ![Cry  ](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/cry.gif)
I have been to the clinic today - scan shows I am not pregnant and lining is back to a normal thin size, which is weird as I have passed hardly any blood compared to usual. I have had a blood test to see if there is any HCG and it might have been a miscarriage but they seriously doubt it. The tissue has been sent off for analysis and they hope to have an answer in 10 days, but they had no idea what it could be.
I think it was probably a thick piece of endometrial lining. I do have endometriosis and fibroids so usually have heavy, clotty bleeds but nothing ever like this.
I suspect the progesterone, but wondered if anyone had any kind of similar experience or could help explain? I will need to use the pessaries again with my final IUI and then with IVF so I'm very worried.
I'm scared there's something wrong with my lining and that is why I haven't got pregnant ever, although the docs have never looked at this.
Any ideas or similar experiences?
