Im a stay at home mum to my 3 year old and my partner works.

Im 27 weeks pregnant.

He works for a big food shop, and they've requested a MATB1 form from him.

i thought this was for Maternity pay not Paternity?

I see my consultant in 2 weeks time, So do i ask them for it?

Also, Does he get paid his normal ammount for the 2 weeks off?

Im so confused!

Current pat pay is one week full pay and one at £124 ish. He may need mat b1 to prove pregnancy?

not quite....

here's the quote from direct.gov

How much do you get
If your average weekly earnings are £107 or more (before tax), Ordinary Statutory Paternity Pay is paid for one or two consecutive weeks at £135.45 or 90 per cent of your average weekly earnings if this is less.

paternity pay can enhanced by some companies and more than SPP offered.

I agree, they may want a matb1 for proof of pregnancy

When I got my matb1 form, my midwife told me to photocopy it before I gave it to work just in case oh needed to hand one in to his work too. I think it's just to proove it.

my oh had to give dates he wanted to start paternity pay... ie my due date. i assume they would also have wanted matb1 certificate but we work for same place so the already had it. he was expected to put request in writing. agree pat pay is 2 weeks at same as smp however oh employer agreed to 1 week full pay and 1 week at pat pay.
