I went on Mat leave mid Feb 2012 and have returned at the beginning of Dec 2012 having taken less than 10months off.

Our payrises and bonuses are decided based upon our appraisial. These took place in Oct 2012.

I was invited to attend one despite working this year. Should I have at least been given the option?

Does this mean I will not be eligiable for a pay rise and/or bonus?
I feel this is like penalising me due to my pregnancy (before I went on Mat leave I was covering extra shifts and going above my job description etc so I really feel this should be considered)

Many thanks

Sorry if I am being daft hun, I don't work in that kind of environment so I don't really understand it, but don't bonuses work on the quality/quantity of your work (unless you're a banker ;)) so if you weren't there does that not mean you are not eligible for bonuses becuase you weren't there to earn one...if this makes sense? Which is why you are covered with a basic salary? I can ask my mum for you, she works in finance so she might know if someone here doesn't.

Oh actually I think I've misunderstood your post, we have an appraisal system and yes I would feel cheated if I was to miss mine next summer due to pregnancy and lost out, so I hope someone here knows for you, you could speak to a union rep? Or HR x
