I am going for testing to see if I have PCOS tomorrow. Very scared. Has anyone else gone for this testing? How long until you get back the results?

It definitely depends on what exactly they're testing, but I just had my bloodwork done about 2 weeks ago. It took about 6 days and then I got a call from my doctor confirming my PCOS based on my free testosterone level. While it sucks, it's not the end of the world, and there are a LOT of resources for women who have it.

Good luck!

Thank you! They are doing blood work and a sono. They didn't tell me how when I should get the results back.

Do you have any signs of PCOS? like hair growth under the chin,ACNE? overweight? my biggest symptom was hair growth.,

GOOD LUCK!!! :)

I have PCOS, and they also did blood work and a sonogram. If you are able to see the screen, ask questions. A tech cant really answer, but you can ask "whats that?" I mean they cant diagnose but they SHOULD know what "that" is! I am on Metformin for my PCOS. It helps with the insulin because my hormones are all nuts O..hence my PCOS. I had a cyst on my ovary, then I was given medicine to bleed, its didnt go away 100% so I was put on BC to have a normal period, then I went back for a u/s and it was gone! Then a week or so later I had a 19mm follicle ready to ovulate! Clomid, hCG injection, and progesterone suppositories and here I am feeling pretty optimistic about my preg. blood test tomorrow!! There ARE LOTS of options for women with PCOS. Do your homework on it though, and ask questions. ANY question can open up a whole wealth of information about PCOS. Good luck with you test, and IF you have PCOS, just know that its an obstacle, that with help, you can over come. Take care hun!! Lots of baby dust your way!

O im sorry I didnt answer the last part. They told me within the week. Depends on how your Dr. office is. In house lab with give u results sooner, sending it away will be around a week at the latest.

Good luck... i have pcos they found out when a cyst bust on my ovarie  when i was 15(now 28). My bloods usally take 7 days and when i had scans they usally told me then and there..

Fingers crossed for you xxxx
