So I have had an internal and abdominal ultrasound about 2yrs ago to see if I had Pcos, it came back normal. I have been referred to a fertility clinic and they are sending me for another one this week, wats the chances of it now showing I DO have Pcos?? I've always thought I did due to lots of syptoms I have. Any advice would be great :)

Thanks

I didn't want to read and run, but don't think I'll be much help. My scans didn't show any cysts on my ovaries or anything but because I still don't ovulate on my own they still label me as having pcos. I hope you get clear answers soon.

My first scan was interpreted as not having PCOS. I was diagnosed from my blood tests (high LH and testosterone). My FS did a scan though and said I did have PCOS. She thinks they misinterpreted as the combination of having a lot of follicles from PCOS but having those follicles reduced because of my age (I'm 39) means it looks like I just have a normal amount of follicles.

Thanks for ur replies ladies! I had the internal scan (they said I didn't need the abdominal one) and it showed Pcos! I am just relieved to have an answer after
after all this time. I have an appointment later today with the fertility specialist so we can go over all my results and discuss the next steps.
Fezzle-how long did it take u to get pregnant and wat treatment did u receive if u don't mind me asking? Also love your pic of the cat, I am a crazy cat lady lol!!

Xxx

haha- thanks! One of my friends on here made the journal button. I found the other pic online- I wish it was one of my cats!

I got pregnant using 50mg of Clomid (and also I've been taking Metformin since a few months before I started the Clomid). Before I started Clomid, I had 15 months of no AF or really irregular cycles. Then once I started Clomid, I got pregnant in the first cycle. Unfortunately it was a mc at 6 weeks. Then I got pregnant again in my 4th cycle of Clomid but that was a chemical pregnancy. This pregnancy was from my 5th cycle of Clomid so I'm hoping this one sticks!

I love your cat picture too!

Fezzle-so sorry to hear of your mc and chemical, i can only imagine how awful it was for u and ur partner. Are you having any additional monitoring in this pregnancy due to your previous losses? I will ask them about both clomid and metformin i hope they start me on something asap. Still waiting for af on cd40 today :/

Lol my cats are my fur babies, love them like i would my children lol! Xxx

We got an early private scan on Monday when I was just over 7 weeks- all was good and there was a good heartbeat! So, so far, so good, but I don't think I'll relax until 2nd tri or until I feel some movement!

Good luck with AF!

Today is our cats' birthday so we are spoiling them! But- we do every day!

Just got back from my appointment she is starting me on clomid, just have to wait for my Gp to prescribe it, also as I am on cd40 she has prescribed provera to induce AF. I'm working nights over the weekend so hoping they have it done tomoro so I don't waste this cycle.

Have you told family/close friends yet?

Xxx

Good luck! I hope Clomid works for you! The first cycle I took it, they gave me a scan too at CD12 to make sure it was working and my lining was ok.

We've told a few close friends and my MIL. I haven't told my family yet but will when I see them in person next week. I am just hoping all is still going well then- with the mc, we never got to the point of telling our families.

Well good luck with telling your family I'm sure it will be an emotional time for you. My parents know we are ttc but they don't get on with my OH so aren't very supportive. My OHs family don't know but I always get the feeling that his mum wants us to wait (how much longer lol!!!) as whenever we talk about having kids infront of her she always says oh there's plenty of time for that!

When is ur next scan? I'll be keeping an eye out for an update :winkwink:

Xx

Probably not until I'm around 12 weeks. I have an appointment with the midwife (through the NHS) on 25 Aug when I'll be just over 10 weeks, so I should get an appointment for my next scan then.
