PCOS & TTC Please Help ?

Hey guys x
My Partner And I Have Been Trying For A Baby For About A Year Now And I Have Never Had A Period Irregularly, They've Always Been Like Clockwork ALWAYS ON TIME ! I Was Due On 13/1/11 And I Still Haven't Had Anything, No Symptoms ZILCH! . I've Taken 10 Home Tests At The Least And Gave A Urine AND Blood Sample To The Nurse But All Of Which Came Back Negative ! When We First Started Trying I went To The Doctors To Find Out My Hormone Level. When My Results Came In They Came Back As Low So I Did It A Second Time And They Came Back As Normal. My Doctor Has Blatantly Told Me That I'm Not Pregnant And That What I Am Experiencing Seems Like "Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome". Not Exactly The News I Wanted To Hear :'( I've Begged Them To Just Cut To The Chase And Send Me For The All Important Scan But I'm Still Waiting To Be Referred To The Gynecologist For Some More Tests And THEN Be Referred Again For A Scan ! I Had My First Smear A Month Ago And Everything In That Department Is Normal. I Can't Take Waiting Much Longer ! I Honestly Feel It's Not PCOS, In The Back Of My Mind Part Of Me Still Thinks There's A Baby I Get Cramps, Tender Nipples, Soaring Temperature, Mood Swings, Extreme Fatigue, Bigger Appetite Than Normal And I Honestly Think My Tummy Has Puffed Out Slightly.
Please Help Ladies ? Any Advice Or Info Is Really Appreciated ! XxX

I have PCOS and was diagnosed about 3 months ago because I had irregular cycles after coming of bcp. Have you got any other symptoms like being overweight, skin tags, acne, loss of hair, fatigue? there are loads more I just can't think of them

Anyway the main thing I wanted to say was that I went to my doctor becasue I didn't get af after coming off bcp and she wouldn't do anything so I went to the family planning clinic in Edinburgh and they did the scan and took blood then and there so if you are in Edinburgh or close to you should definately try the family planning clinic and they might be able to help you earlier.

to be honest I am quite a big girl and have been since I was about 13, (I'm 20) i used to be about a size 8 and BOOM! the weight just piled on but I always just put that down to probably stuffing my face with junk and hormones and what not. I've not had acne yet, my mum didn't get it until she was 32! I do have a bit of hair growth around my nipple, and my abdomen, i just shave it or pluck it, they're mostly black hairs and sometimes I find myself shaving a slight moustache I'm hoping it's not pcos, I keep having bad dreams about never being able to have children and it terrifies the life outta me, there's nothing I want more in this world :'(

I think that is why he is saying it is probably PCOS then if you are carrying extra weight.

PCOS doesn't mean you can't get pregnant though it can just be harder because you have less chances with irregular cycles. There are loads of things you can do to increase your chances of getting pregnant and you can get rid of PCOS naturally as well (although I think you need to be quite driven, I am not anywhere close yet lol).

Also they are more likely to give you clomid if you have PCOS to get you ovulating again so don't stress about it, if you do have it then you can start working on getting it sorted. You can also get metformin which will help you lose the extra weight and that will increase you chances of getting pregnant by loads.

Victoria Beckham has PCOS and she can still have kids.

I have PCOS, although I am not a text book case. With the help of an RE (fertility doctor) I have one beautiful daughter. We are currently TTC#2 with his help again!

haha yes the doctor said trying to shift some weight would help, I can't even motivate myself to go to the toilet so that's gonna be fun lol! the other milestone i'm worried about is the fact you're more prone to miscarriage with pcos
