Hi all, we were on clomid to conceive our little one... I had an ultrasound today to check for cysts, my blood work came back saying I have PCOS so this was just the icing on the cake, my right ovary had >20 follies and my left was ~18 follies. She said they look like juvenile follies and are not mature.
I'm on CD 15 so if I was having a normal cycle I should have been ovulating... but my last cycle was 74 days so its consistent with PCOS, just wondering what the amount of follows means and what do you think would be the treatment my doctor would suggest? We have been NTNP for a fee months but are looking to try again properly now, because it took 2 years with our first.

Hi! I have just recently been diagnosed again... I had >30 follicles on each ovary, I guess they gave up counting after that! I think the amount of follicles determines how long you've had them, or how many times your body is trying to ovulate/ my doctor has put me on metaformin until we get married, (3.5 months!) and then we're going to try clomid. Was your daughter naturally conceived or was a clomid baby!

Let me know how you go :)

Thank you very much for the reply, my daughter was a clomid baby. I'm waiting to go back to the doctors, hoping she will refer me to the obgyn again so we can start clomid or metaformin but they want me to lose weight first which I'm trying to! Good luck to you too!!

Hi!

I just got my bfp yesterday still can't believe it I also have pcos, I was comix resistant and I was then put on injectables, they start u off slow and go from there, well first month nothing did not get big enough follies second month we did it! So there are options out there! And injectables are well worth it gl hope ur not waiting too long xx

Have you been back to the doctor yet? Did they put you on anything? I have PCOS too and they put me on metformin and synthroid.

havent been back to the doctor yet i go on monday (3 days from now) so ill see what she says cause she will have all the results from the ultrasound, i just dont know how to ask her to put me on medication. i feel really silly asking for medication because of my weight its weird :S

The metformin can help you loose weight. I would at least ask about that.
