For the last two nights i have got up during the night to go to the loo (which i don't normally do) and it has really hurt my belly and down below but its not hurting at any other time that i have gone, just on these two occasions during the night? Does anyone know what this could be?

maybe you wree just bursting?

Maybe ask doc - could be infection?

You're lucky if you dont normally go in the night, I literally go about 4 times each and every night....since about week 7 or 8!!! and it's not getting better yet.

yeah if it happens again tonight going to have to ask the doctor i think, its just weird coz it really hurts, but hasn't hurt at any other time, its like my actually belly hurts if that makes sense, anyway, thanks!

I've been having something similar for a couple of weeks now. It feels a little like an infection but I think it's just pains caused by the weight of the baby pushing on my bladder when it's full (or at least as full as it can get with the lack of room). I've been checked for an infection and there was nothing & it doesn't hurt all the time.

No doubt this is what you're getting too but it's best to get it checked just in case.

happens to me too , and i didnt have an infection, its just the pressure of needing to pee. make sure to be checked for a uti just incase

I would get checked for infection as it may just be starting & the reason you only feel it bad then is cos your pee is more concentrated during the night...hope it is just pressure but it wouldnt do any harm to get checked out!!

Thanks for your replies, i just got back from MW's (she had a cancellation) she tested protein and said i had no infection and that it was probably baby just sitting on my bladder and not to worry, when baby moves further up this should calm down.

She also listened to the heart beat again, yay! was 130 beats per minute, i thought it was a little slow but she said it was perfectly normal and strong. as long as in between 110 and 160 (i think).

I get pain in the morning but the rest of the time I have nothing

I have similar pains. It doesn't happen every day, but sometimes in the morning, I have to go so bad that I have to bend over to walk to the restroom because there is so much pressure on my abdominal section (which is always hard there). This morning I couldn't even stand up straight after I went to the restroom. I had this really bad pinching feeling (could this be my skin stretching, I wonder?). I think I am carrying low, maybe you are too.

I have to get up several times a night to go but don't have any pain associated with it. Could be a possible sign of an infection, if it happens again I'd have it checked just to make sure.

Usually it's just the pressure of baby, and needing to pee... but during my last pregnancy I had recurrent UTI's which also gave the same sensation... so I would deffinetly get it checked just to be on the safe side.

dont they say a slower heartbeat is a sign of a girl?

oooh! Are you going to find out soon?

Yeah got my 20 week scan in 2 weeks can't wait! Hopefully we will be able to find out.

I asked my MW about the heart beating faster/slower means boy/girl and she said it was an old wives tale. So we'll see! i dont mind either way.

I have the same thing, I just put it down to bursting for the loo. It goes about 5-10 minutes after I have been, also asked doctor and she said I have no infections so it's nothing serious :)
