I have had a lot of strange feelings around my lower abdomen the past week.

Midwife says its just pressure from the baby but it can be quite sore when I move sometimes. And is quite bad when my bladder is half full-full.

Its so uncomfortable. I wish there was something I could do to relieve it.

could it be baby sitting down in my pelvic area? is this normal at 22 weeks?

Do you mean like a pain in the cervix or actual pelvic pain? I keep getting little sore cervix pains.

it doesnt feel like my actual pelvis, like my bones aren't clicking or anything. It just feels like pain/pressure either side of my abdomen, really low down but inside. Only when I move sometimes though its not a constant pain..

what is cervical pain like?

hi hun iv been having this recently really bad it hurts to touch aswel mine? it shoots in my tummy but stabs aswel nd goes into my thigh i hav sciatica in my back too and im sure its spd im getting docs seems to think its normal but its really hard to do things :\ joys of pregnancy eh! just hope we dont get worse :) xxx

Is there any wee exercises that can be done to ease it?

It could be just the normal stretching that happens. Cervical pain i would describe as a period type pain but more in the centre, where they take a smear test from.
I also have been getting sciatica whick is a sharp pain that goes from my lower back, down through my arse cheek and into my thigh and that really hurts. The midwife said massage helps but it doesn't at all. I am going to ask her to refer me at my next app.

Hi,

I was feeling terrible abdominal pain and bak pain last weekend, with a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen. I went to the GP cos I was worried and she checked it out and I have a UTI. She also said that the pains are from the muscles stretching as my uterus wasn't sore at all (when she felt it).

Since I took the anit-biotics I feel better but still have a bit of stretchy pains. My felt like presuure and period pains. It's not nice :(

i get this alot, feel really sore and like the weight of the baby is causing loads of pressure. Can be really painful at times to walk and move legs etc.

Sounds a bit like spd. I felt like someone had booted me in the front with steel capped boots on and had bad sciatica. Have been to an Osteopath twice and it's pretty much resolved now. I felt a little sore after each session but soooooo much better now.

Keep you knees together, sit down to put shoes, pants etc on. Keep your knees together when getting in and out of cars.

If it's a pain that kinda feels like stitch and is really sore when coughing/sneezing/ getting up off the sofa etc, it's probably ligament pains and not much can be done except for to brace your tummy for sneezes etc and take it easy.

Goo luck
