period and birth control

hey ladies

i have been on birth control for over 3 years and all of a sudden i started my period last month about 5 days early and it wasnt like my period it only lasted a couple of days. Has this happened to anyone else while on BC?

also i am supposed to start my period tomorrow and i just dont feel the same. i have really sore boobs, really bad wind, weird feelings in my tummy. i just i guess need to know if this happened to anyone else.
also if i dont start my period i will take a test.

Have you been messing it up a bit lately maybe?

When I got pregnant I was on the pill and when I took the week break my period didn't come. Thats how I knew something was going on...

The best thing to do would be to test when you're due but you never know, it could be just the pill messing with your body.
Many people don't know that when you are on the pill it's actually a false state of pregnancy and thats how you can get similar symptoms.

I've only been on for 9 months now. I've had period, though where I would start bleeding while still taking active pills. And I've had periods where I've gone through almost all of my inactive pills.

Now that last bit is scary. lol

If you've been lax about taking the pills, that could always cause problems. I'd tell your doctor if you're worried and maybe they can ease your mind. If it does it through your next pack, too, I'd change bcp.
