Period back when exclusively breastfeeding

My son is 11 weeks old today and I got my period back yesterday in assuming. However not as heavy as it used to be. I exclusively breastfeed. He feeds a lot during the day. Feeds for ages around 8-11pm, feeds again at 3am and then every hour up until 9 then. So he is by no means sleeping through.

With my daughter I didn't get it until I stopped at 7 months. Anyone else?
I was wishing this wouldn't happen for a while longer yet

Hopefully it will stay light, I'm hoping mine doesn't come back as heavy this time as I have had really bad af for years. It came back at 6 months first time and 5 the second so who knows this time.

Mine came back at 6 weeks while exclusively breastfeeding. It was regular immediately. Luck of the draw, I guess. I was bummed! And terrified of getting pregnant, ha!

Mine has always come back early, and I have always exclusively breastfed! I've had mine twice so far, though it's been very light!

I'm 8 months pp, still fully BF but she's also doing blw, I haven't had a period yet. I did actually feel achey today like it was going to start, but that's stopped and nothing has happened yet. I am also on the mini-pill, I don't know if that makes a difference.

I got a random bleed a couple of months after I gave birth and assumed my periods had come back but I haven't had any bleeding since and my LO is almost 8 months(she is breastfed and eating solids) so maybe it's just a one off!

With all three of my kids ( all exclusively BF) I got my period back by 3 months post partum. I'm an unlucky one, but yes your cycles can def come back when exclusively BF!

I am VERY unlucky.. With my first it came back at 8 weeks pp. With my second it made it's appearance at 6 weeks pp.. EBF both times.

Yep this is common and isn't classed as a period, especially if it is light. I'd make sure you have another form of birth control though, just incase!
