Period like blood at 39 weeks?

It this what is called a bloody show? I dont see any mucousy stuff ( although I didnt get some mucousy stuff a couple of days back which abruptly stopped).. just pinkish blood when I wipe..
Is it normal???
I did call the labor ward last night and she said its normal to have some blood when you wipe. It shouldnt be so much to fill a pad or stain clothes....

Anyone else experiencing this?

ummmmm...hmm..irritated cervix maybe? im not sure, have u had any sex??? normally a bloody show is lots of gooey stuff tinged with blood, not just blood alone.

Had some but three four days back, didnt do any after I started losing plug..scared of infection..

Any idea? Should I be worried?
Its not a lot, very little once in a while

I am sure it's normal as long as it is spotting. At least that's what my doc gave me precautions for. But doesn't hurt to go in and get yourself checked. I would get an appointment now just to be safe.

Dont really have any advice/experience. Just didn't want to read and run. Just call in if you are worried! Im sure it's all good though!

If your ever worried re blood etc if its fresh you should always phone del suite they will advise youetc if need. x

When I had a show it was a lot and it was like a period. Yes I would still call you MW...but mine was bright red and confirmed by a nurse that is was considered a show. So it can be bright red like a period. HTH.

What Maz said, if it's fresh ie bright red you need to contact del suite. If it's pinky brown spotting then it's normal, may be part of bloody show, may be body getting ready for labour. This is what mw said at antenatal class.
