Period like cramps at 37 weeks

Hi,

im 37 weeks pregnant with my first baby, this week i have experienced lots of period like cramping and some sharp pains...they feel quite dull and achey! are all these normal sorts of feelings for this stage in pregnancy??

The cramps are not particularly painful just like my body is preparing for a period and niggling pains if that makes sense! im turning into a worry wort! they dont seem to be consistent just achey! think its prob me worrying but wanted to see if others are having this too... x

I've been getting them this week and u know what a worrier I am lol my mw said this is normally a way of ur body telling u baby has engaged  xx

No I'm not too bothered by it, normally a bath or going to bed sorts it for me.
I think I will properly crap myself when I have a show or something like that though, can't believe how close we all are now!!! eeek!

a bath really helped it last nite for me! think coz we r so close the symtom spottin begins! it like th TWW all over again but this time its waiting for our babies to arrive! i cant believe where the time has gone x

The thought of not knowing is scary but im sure we will know when its actually happening.plus don't worry I'll let u know when jakey is allowed to arrive,he's not allowed yet as I'll probably go till 42wks and this 10 day gap ain't being streched that far between us lol xx

make sure u let me know as soon as u let Jakey know then haha!

i reckon Jakey's gonna be a snugglebum and be quite content staying in there so we may ctach up on this 10 day difference Come on Lola catch up xx

I'm getting the period pains, too. Kind of a bummer since I've been happy to not deal with my period for the last 9 months lol

i started getting this last week on off period cramps im not too bothered hopefully something will happen soon but it seems to be quite common and doesnt mean labour is close

went to Mw today as was having shooting pains and was worried it mite be a UTI, there was protein and lukocytes in my urine so their sending it off for testing! Jakey is now 3-4/5ths engaged, she thinks its more like 3/5ths but reckons that he's def moving on down x

I've been having those type of pains from 35 weeks. Everybody keeps saying that it's my body getting ready to go into labour and that she'll be here soon, but 3 weeks later and there's still no sign!

yeah they pretty mich said that it doesnt mean labours imminent, i was just worried that sometin may be wrong x

I'm getting these too. At my 36 wk app midwife said wow baby is really low down so I thought that meant labour was coming but noticed afterwards on my notes he was only 1/5 engaged have been feeling very uncomfortable last few days, got my 38 wk app this wk so hoping to hear he's a lot more engaged.
