period or still lochia?

Hi ladies,

I gave birth to my son 4 weeks ago tomorrow. I'm still bleeding but its been bright red blood for about 3 days.

Is this my period or lochia still coming ?

Bleeding stopped a few days before now its back again. Keeps stopping and starting!

That sounds like what I experienced. I got really light after three weeks but then it came back bright red for week four and five and then disappeared. I was told it was likely still lochia.

I'd say lochia. Mine started and stopped a few times too. I thought it had stopped at 5 weeks but then about a week later I had a bit of red back which I thought was my period, but it was just a bit and then went. Nothing since. Lochia can increase or become more red again if you're doing too much.

Yeah I have been pretty busy running about after my toddler and with housework everyday I noticed it started back up again after 3 days of walking to my local shopping centre (quite a long walk) think I'll try and rest a bit!
