Period starting and stopping?

Hi ladies, I'm new here so bare with me. I'm not really sure what to think. My periods are usually 3-5 days long, typically first day is heavy flow and bright red with clots. On the 17th which was 5 days before AF was due I noticed every time I wiped my toilet paper had pale pink blood on it. Same happened in the morning of the 18th. Nothing at all on 19th. On the 20th I had vrown/rust colored bleeding which filled one and a half of the light tampons all day. Now this morning I was awakened by severe lower abdominal and back pain and once again no bleeding???

Also I never get cramps, I know I'm very lucky lol but I do handle pain very well. I had both my children without epidural and they were long labor's 24hrs and 15 hrs. This pain is a 10. I've experienced pain similar to this with ovarian cyst, however they never came in between or right after what I'm guessing is my period? I'm so confused. Made an appointment with OB tomorrow...
