Period starting, then stopping, then starting again

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Your period starts light, then disappears for a full day, then pops back for a brief hello, goes away for another day & then comes back & stays!

This has happened me a few times since coming off the pill, and it's a real pain.

Why does it happen??

YES--this has TOTALLY happened to me! Why does it happen?--I don't know, it started for me after a miscarriage. I had to go onto the pill for 3 months to get things "regulated" again...

It's been happening to me every other month since coming off the pill. I had a tiny spot of pink on Friday, nothing yesterday , then a bit more pink once this morning. I feel so bloated, just want my proper AF to hurry up!

Girl! That happened to me when coming off the pill after having my first baby! I had been on the same pill since I was in high school. Went off of it to get pregnant. Got pregnant...eventually. After I had the baby, I went right back on it after my first post-birth period and that same thing happened to me. It was awful!! My doctor even switched me to a higher dose of birth control pill but it didn't help. I would get my period, it would stop for a few days, and start again. I was bleeding for 2 weeks out of every month for 3 months. I finally had enough of it and just quit the pill entirely and then my cycles regulated out. I've never heard of somebody else having the same experience tell you just posted this!
Unfortunately, I don't have any advice because I just gave up on the pill! But just know that it apparently happens!!

It's crazy, I was regular before I went on the pill, regular whilst on it, but now 5mths after coming off it I'm having this spotting on & have off 3 days. Period is finally here, but it's really stretching out the period week when you have extra spotting days

No one every warned me that after years of taking the pill, my cycle wouldn't get back to normal right away. I think it actually took about 2 years for things to settle down. I didn't have off/on like you describe but just irregular/long cycle length. I wasn't TTC so I am not sure how it affected my fertility but it definitely was not a short-term adjustment.

This period is just weird...
cd 28 - tiny spot of pink
Cd 30 - some pink staining for about an hour
Cd 31 - some pink staining throughout the day with small amounts of blood
Cd 32 - just a little bit of blood on tip of tampon. No staining when I wipe

I don't know if my period is yet to kick in or what's going on. It's difficult to judge when my next cycle begins from 😁
