ya'll are probably getting sooo tired of me lol but when did you get your period? I heard that BF is supposed to put your period off and i've been breastfeeding since we brought her home 2 days after she was born as i couldn't do it in the hospital with the nursing staff bothering me about it and after all the lochia and everything went away i got my period is that normal? and is it going to stop as i continue BF? thanks in advance ladies!

Are you exclusively nursing? 3wks seems early even if you aren't nursing...are you sure it's not just a bit more from the birth? But with my 2nd son I was fully nursing him and I got a VERY light period at 8wks and then not again until he weaned at 11mo. With my youngest I got it at 15mo, he was still nursing but had cut back alot by then.

yea im exclusively nursing. it could be some afterbirth i guess but i was just assuming it wasn't because all it is now is blood so i just assumed it was my period although no cramps or anything like that associated with it

I have always exclusively breastfed and always have my periods regular as clockwork...am having my second one since having Erin right now actually .


Your hormones are still all over the place so you may not have them at all or they may be really erratic so don't worry about it not being every 4 weeks or whatever your cycle "used to be"
