Hi i had a section 6 months ago & my periods are still all over the place. Ive had one or 2 normal ones the rest ive just had brown discharge for a few days instead of periods. Is that normal? Anyone else have this? Thanks

Completely normal, it takes a good while for everything to settle back down so please don't panic. My section was 11 weeks ago and I haven't had a period yet, but I'm EBF so that didn't help. I've started taking the mini pill now too so I won't get any. It all depends on the individual so don't worry

I was also worried but my midwife assured me that its normal for your periods to take a while to come back, its been almost a year for me but I am also still breastfeeding my 11 mth old daughter, so don't fret, a c-section is a big thing for a woman's body to go thru, it can take some time to sort itself all out
