Pethadine... Any advice ???

Hi ladies... I wonder if any one has had this or knows anything..??

When I was I n labor I was given pethadine injection in my right thigh and the anti sickness injection well since that now ( 10 weeks ago) my leg is still sore to touch where it was given and also I can't lie on that side for long as it hurts kinda like a bruise..
So today I asked at the doctors as I thought it's been 10 weeks should of gone by now but the doctor checked and told me I had a bleed in the muscle she said it was nothing to worry about but could take a few more weeks
Has anyone else had this ?? Or still get pain??

I had a sensitive area where my epidural was and also on my leg where they gave me an injection to help deliver the placenta. It took a couple of months to completely go. I think it just takes time for your body to clear out the excess fluid.

Mine also hurt for quite a while, it felt like a big lump under the skin. It will go away though, its the epidural that hurts forever!!

I had one shot of pethidine in my thigh and I never noticed it, sorry x

I had two shots of pethidine and several anti nausea jabs too, my thigh was sore for quite a while. Weirdly I could never find the exact spot, but I realised the other day that I hadn't felt it ache for a while, so it does eventually go away.

I had one shot of it as well.

I didn't notice any brusing or soreness at all.
