Hello ladies,
Some might think I am insane for getting pg so soon after my last c/s, but my situation is a bit different than some may think. My full term daughter was delivered via c/s in Jan. Sadly she was born sleeping. I just found out this past week, we are having another baby! A little scared and worried, but mainly about my c/s scar. I am due Dec 25th and this LO will be born between Nov 26th and Dec 4th. So my c/s will be about 10 months apart. Anyone else have close c/s ?

Sorry to hear about your loss. I also lost my son, we had 13 hours with him before he passed. I was advised to wait at least 6 months because of the risk of scar rupture, and got pregnant the month we were given the all clear by my consultant. I'd make an appointment with your consultant asap to discuss the risks involved in getting pregnant so soon. I have heard of women who have had various problems getting pregnant so soon, and others who haven't had any problems. Feel free to come join us in the pregnancy after a loss section x

aww lexi i am really happy you are pregnant again, i followed your posts and am thrilled for you <3  i pray it goes well, i honestly think u will be fine. My mother in law became pregnant very closely between giving birth and she had to have C/Sections with all four children due to her pelvis being too small, i think it was something like seven months between my husband being born then her conceiving and that was with the old staples and big horizontal scars they used to do in the 80s and early 90s so i think you should be fine, blessings for you and that this time your little one will be healthy and happy and you will be safe :) God bless :hugs:

My daughter was born at 25 weeks last year on April 30th via emcs with a classical (vertical) incision (and after 3 horizontal emergency sections previously)! We lost Emily after 2 days and i ttc again straight away. I am due 4th June but will be having a planned section at 37/38 weeks. The main risk with pregnancies so close together after a section is the risk of scar /uterine rupture with strong contractions. If you are having a planned section this shouldn't be a problem but even with a vbac the risk is so low, i believe 0.2% after 1 c/s.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and i'm really sorry for your loss.

Thanks ladies :)
Yes I will have a scheduled c/s at 36ish weeks. My ob told me that the day after our loss and I asked her again at my 4w pp check. She said not going 1 day past 37 weeks. So that is reassuring. I just hear so many negative things, it is nice to hear something positive!

Hi there. Firstly so sorry for your loss, and congrats on the bfp!! Well I actually asked my doc last week when I am safe to start ttc again
And he said while he would ADVISE to wait 9-12 months, there's no hard and fast rule, and he actually use the example I'm someone had a cs stillborn and got pregnant 4 months later so be it, it doesn't mean anything bad, it just means you'll be watched more closely towards the end which it sounds like they are doing anyway!
Good luck!!
Be sure to let us know what docs say
Oh also just to add 9 years ago my sister had a vbac 14 months after a c section and there was no mention to her of any worry or that she had to repeat cs

Hi. I got pregnant again, yes it was planned, 4 months after my c section. My doctor was not concerned at all. I am even going to try for a vaginal birth this time.
