My 4 year old is going backwards. He used to eat anything and everything i gave him but as the years went by he kept getting pickier. I am now at my wits end and dont know what to do.
His issues are weird compared to "normal" kids. His approved foods are chicken and rice with peas. Carrots and beans, oatmeal or rasin toast for breakfast, spaghetti loaded with veggies. Or snacks like apples, banana bread, banana, yogurt, granola bars, etc.
He wont eat junky foods like chips, fries, nuggets or things like raw veggies and most fruit. He drinks only milk or water.
He would rather go hungry and complain about it than eat a yummy homecooked meal
And im not a horrible cook lol the food is good. 😂 what do you all do!?! Im losing my mind with him.

Tonight is mild meat chili and homemade dinner rolls and he wont even look at it.

Doesnt sound weird to me both mine arw picky. My elsest just started school tho and will eat anything there but tells me not at home....go figure.

Its awful. I know alot of kids and very very few are as picky as he is. Not sure what to do.

Really??? Both mine have been and my little one whos three still is now.....i thought it was pretty standard

If ur really worried then u could go to ur gp and discuss it if its normal picky eating then theres not much u can do but just keep putting all foods infront of them whether theyll eat it or not but if u feel its deeper rooted like only eating certain textures colours they may be able to refer to a dietitian

It sounds like there's some good variety in there to work with. Just make sure to include at least one food with dinner that he'll eat.
