Hi ladies hope your all well.

This will probs be long so I am sorry but I am a worrier haha.

Right,

I was under a different hospital but now going to a different one as I didnt like how I was being treated.

I have to have 2 extra scans due to the babies growth. With me swapping hospitals will I still be given these scans? and how will I book them?

Also the glucose test would it be the same as the other hospital?

When I give birth I only want my boyfriend with me as Id rather not the family turn up. Only problem is my mum would be taking me to the hospital as I want her to be an important part of her first grandchild being born. But, I dont want anyone coming into see me or being in the waiting room. Can I stop this?

If I give birth in the night, when will my OH be sent home? I dont like being alone you see and with my baby Ill be too scared to sleep etc and I do no I will need help.

If I have a c section does the epidural hurt? I have a massive phobia of needles. If I do get it can my OH be with me when I get the spinal?

When would I go home if I had a c section? and when would I go home if I had a natural?

Do the stiches hurt?

What pain relief did you have and did it hurt?

How bad is the bleeding after? and how sore would I be?

Im so sorry about all these questions but panic is starting to set in and I am so scared :nope: :(

First port of call is your midwife. Ask her. If not then ring the ultrasound unit at the new hospital.

Also the glucose test would it be the same as the other hospital?

Again speak to your midwife. They are the ones to book scan/blood tests ect

Yes. Its completely your choice as to who is with you at the birth. I'd tell your mum before hand that you don't want her in the room with you and you'd like her to go home. If not let the midwife at the hospital know.

If I give birth in the night, when will my OH be sent home? I dont like being alone you see and with my baby Ill be too scared to sleep etc and I do no I will need help.

Once you are moved to a ward. I had my son at 18.56 and my hubby left at 11pm. You can't have OH on ward with you as you'll be sharing a room with other women.

If I have a c section does the epidural hurt? I have a massive phobia of needles. If I do get it can my OH be with me when I get the spinal?

After 12 hours of contractions i didn't even feel the needle when i got my spinal before my c section. If you have an epidural during labour it'll be done in the room and so yes OH will be there. If its in theatre for c section normally not but again speak to the midwife. They may be able to let him in due to your phobia.

When would I go home if I had a c section? and when would I go home if I had a natural?

I went home 36 hours after my c section. my friend had straight forward natural and left after 4 hours. its very indivual.

Do the stiches hurt?

no idea

What pain relief did you have and did it hurt?

Gas & air and Pethadine during my labour. Spinal for the emergency c section. Do you mean does labour hurt? YES. But its ok and totally worth it!

How bad is the bleeding after? and how sore would I be?

My bleeding was heavy for a couple of days and then was very light for another 3 weeks but i had c section and so you tend to bleed less. i hardly noticed though as too busy with my baby. Iwas very sore after the section.

Im so sorry about all these questions but panic is starting to set in and I am so scared :nope: :(
