Please help! Bleeding!

So i had pp bleeding on and off for about 6 weeks. I started bc about 2 mo pp and took the whole pack. 4 days into the pack I experienced spotting and it was painful and crampy. I assumed it was breakthrough bleeding. I did not complete another pack due to all of the spotting. Here I am almost 4 month's pp and still spot almost every day some days are very minimal and some I have to wear a tampon but it never fills up! Is something wrong what do I do? My doctor told me to come back if the Bleeding continued and he would do a ultrasound to make sure all is ok. But I am freaking is it due to him sleeping about 8 hrs at night now? with no feeding? Idk help any advice would be wonderful! xox
