If there wasn't a lot of urine to test, it's possible there wasn't enough to give a good sample. The best way to test is after holding for several hours, as many as you can. That's why first morning urine is best for a lot of ladies. Many have better HCG buildup in the afternoons, though, so you can test any time of day as long as you've held for at least a couple of hours. I believe I've read if you down a ton of liquid to try to make yourself have to pee, it may be more diluted and not the greatest for testing?

Could it have been implantation? I would wait a few days a test again ?
