Please help gagging on bottle

The past week Scarlett has started gagging on her bottle.

Sometimes she takes it fine but others she starts pushing it away, going red in the face and gagging so I have to take it away from her, she then goes hysterical because she is hungry.

I have checked the teats and they are slow flow for newborn, I have changed from avent to tommie tippe and still no change.

She is hungry because she is looking for the bottle but really struggles, it's as if she can't get her sucking rhythm right.

Anybody any ideas? She took them all fine in the night but at least once/twice a day we go through this

No idea. She has took both night feeds perfectly normal and just tried to feed her now and exactly the same gagging again.

Erin does it - generally with her she's trying to fart at the same time and has got herself all confused with the farting, sucking, breathing and swallowing. I just take the bottle out for a couple of minutes, give her a bit of a wind-ing break and then give it back to her and she normally goes back to normal.

I take it off her and she goes hysterical because im taking food off her. I give her time to breath and try again, we get a good few sucks then the arms start going crazy again, she pushes back and goes red in the face.

It's strange because she can take it perfect at times

My Ben does the same thing, but isn't as upset when I take the bottle away. I try to leave the nipple on his lip so he knows it is still there. If it is gas, you could try some gas drops prior to feeding.

Or try to find some shorter nipples that will fit the same bottle. My cousin's little boy kept gagging and it was just the nipple was too long and hitting his tongue the wrong way, causing him to gag. Either way, I hope it works out for your little one soon
