Please Help, ovulation confusion, even having had 5 babies this is WEIRD

I am hoping for some stories and opinions here because despite knowing my body really well and having some medical training and quite extensive knowledge where pregnancy is concerned I am confused and not sure WTF is going on.

After my youngest stopped bf my cycles became very regular, 28 days on average, ovulation like clock work and VERY painful nipples the day after ov. This month we tried for a baby but I had no nipple pain at all and felt maybe I did not ovulate. I did feel a bit funny during the TWW so tested but was bfn.
Then, 2-3 days before AF was due My breasts AND nipples started hurting and had I not known how far on I am in the cycle I could have sworn I ovulated. Period is now 2 days late, boobs so painful I can't hug (and I am 32B so luckily not too bad pain wise but still unpleasant). Breasts NEVER hurt after ov.
So I wonder that maybe I ovulated really late (I used to have longer cycles and ovulate on day 20-23) and may still be pregnant (we sort of "try" every day so there is a chance still).
Has something similar ever happened to anyone?
I'd be grateful for all opinions and speculations.

Very interesting. I'm wondering if u Ov latter hon. Mind you preganacy symptoms are simular. It's so hard to say.
What tests are you using?
Maybe because ure cycled used to be longer ure body still O the same as it was as if ure cycles hadnt changed.

AF arrived 2-3days late. We have decided we are ntnp because ttc is too stressful so will see. I am hoping to be back here some time this year with my (possibly last) bfp.

The saga continues. Af very light and lasted 2-3 days instead of the usual 5.
I have 1 test left so tempted to test again.
Also have indigestion a lot which I don't usually get. Still a bit confused tbh
